Christmas Shopping

I just discovered a few things that will make Christmas Shopping much easier and enjoyable for me. Sadly, it will make my mother angry for I will not be contributing to her annual bonus this year:(

Last year, I forwent Wal-Mart for K-Mart on Black Friday because I was low on funds and only K-Mart had lay-a-way (Wal-Mart did away with it when they started issuing credit cards), making my mother mad because she knows how I like to shop and she works fro Wal-Mart.

This year, I will again be skipping Wal-Mart in favor of two stores which have their own Christmas Club. Toy-R-Us (and all R-Us stores) and K-Mart (aka Sears) have cards you can put money on that have Christmas designs on them. Two things are special about these gift cards----you can't use them until the Christmas season begins AND they will give you a 3% bonus on Oct. 16 for whatever you have on the card(s). Adding money is as easy as loading any other reloadable card.....and saving couldn't be easier (even for a shopaholic like me)

The other thing I am trying this year is Scentsy Wickless Candles. I love candles,  but with a 2-year-old and a cat (not to mention a new baby) I don't want flames all over the house. Scentsy run on low watt bulbs. And to be really adventurous----I signed up as a consultant to see if I can make some more Crhistmas money(to add to my cards)   http://barbaracraig.scentsy.us/

Check these options out. They could make Christmas shopping a lot easier and give you a chance to try new stores:)
